Mythic Prestige Classes of Ondoron

A mythic prestige class is similar to a normal prestige class, except that it is available only to characters that have achieved mythic tier ranks. The following mythic prestige classes are allowed in Ondoron:

Lord Knight of Luminairre

The Lord Knights of Luminairre are the leaders of the Knighthood and the Empire. In times of peace, they oversee the Knighthood and help with the administration of the Empire. They tirelessly seek to make the lives of the Imperial citizens better, and they are loved and respected by all of the Empire’s lawful citizens.

In times of war, the Lord Knights meet with field officers to plan strategies. Many Lord Knights travel to the front lines to help defend the Empire in person. Each Lord Knight oversees a portion of the Empire (called a province), and in times of war they are in charge of rallying recruits from their home regions to form a Luminairrian army. While the Knights are a formidable foe, there are sometimes not enough to counter serious threats to the Empire by themselves.

Lord Knights have the power to change the Code of Light with a majority vote. They do not do so lightly, however. The Code has grown long over the years, and there are many obscure and little-known pieces of the Code that can clash with any changes in the Code. When the Code does need to be altered, the Lord Knights depend on the help of the Knights Justicar to ensure that the Code remains functional and true to its purpose.

There are two members of every Order in the Council of Lord Knights plus the current Emperor or Empress (and sometimes an heir to the throne as well), so the interests of the Orders are equally represented.

Hit Die: d10

To qualify to become a Lord Knight, a character must fulfill all the following criteria.

Alignment: Lawful Good.
Skills: Diplomacy 15 ranks, and Knowledge (Code of Light) 15 ranks
Feats: Leadership
Mythic Feats: Mythic Leadership
Special: Must have at least 1 level of the Knight Petitioner prestige class.
Special: Must be elected to the rank of Lord Knight by the members of the standing Council of Lord Knights before levels of this mythic prestige class may be taken.

Class Skills
The Lord Knight’s class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are Craft (Int), Diplomacy (Cha), Heal (Wis), Intimidate (Cha), Knowledge (Code of Light) (Int), Knowledge (Nobility) (Int), Perception (Wis), Profession (Wis), Ride (Dex), Sense Motive (Wis), and Spellcraft (Int).
Skill Points at Each Level: 4 + Int modifier.

Class Features

All of the following are class features of the Lord Knight epic prestige class.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Lord Knights are proficient with simple and martial weapons as well as with all armor and shields (except tower shields).

Lord Knight Armor and Shield: Upon her initiation into the Lord Knights of Luminairre, the Lord Knight is given a white suit of Lord Knight’s Plate and a Luminairrian Avenger.

Order Advancement (Su): Levels of Lord Knight stack with levels in the Knight Order that the Lord Knight represents for calculating all effects, such as uses per day of certain abilities, special class skill bonuses, and attack/damage bonuses based on Order class level. Note that levels of Lord Knight stack only with the Order they represent for determining these abilities. If the Lord Knight has more than one Knight of Luminairre prestige class, Order Advancement only applies to the Order in which the Lord Knight represents.

Order Class Skills: In addition to the class skills listed above for the Lord Knight, all class skills of the Order that the Lord Knight represents are considered to be class skills.

Paladin Advancment (Ex): A Lord Knight adds his class levels in this prestige class to his paladin level to determine the effects of many paladin class abilities. A Lord Knight adds his class level to his paladin level to determine access to all paladin class abilities listed under the “Special” column of Table 3-11 Paladin, including for the purposes of determining the number of times per day those abilities can be used, and the strength of those abilities. A Lord Knight does not gain any other benefits he would have gained for advancing as a paladin (increased base attack and saves from the paladin table, for instance).

The exception to this is that Lord Knights of the Order of Knights Arcanum also add their Lord Knight level to their effective wizard or sorcerer level for determining the power and abilities of her familiar. Likewise, a Lord Knight of the Orders of Knight Cavalier and Knight Sentinel of Knights Sentinel may increase her effective paladin level by one for the purposes of determining her mount companion’s abilities and powers.

Spells Per Day: Each level a Lord Knight gains new spells per day as if she had also gained a level in a spellcasting class she belonged to before adding the prestige class. She does not gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained (improved chance of controlling or rebuking undead, metamagic or item creation feats, and so on). If a character had more than one spellcasting class before becoming a Lord Knight, she must decide to which class she adds the new level for purposes of determining spells per day.

Superior Leadership (Ex): Lord Knights are skilled leaders. A Lord Knight adds double her class level (rather than just her class level) to her Leadership score. This stacks with the class feature of the same name gained from the Knight Officer prestige class.

Pure Soul (Su): A Lord Knight of Luminairre is a paragon of virtue and purity. Lord Knights are immune to the effects of taint. In addition, a Lord Knight is immune to all charms, compulsions, and attempts and mental domination.

Inspiration (Su): A Lord Knight of Luminairre may spend a daily use of mythic power as a swift action to allow all allies within 30 feet to reroll one saving throw within one round and take the better result. If an ally within 30 feet is currently suffering from the effects of something that allowed a save, the ally may immediately re-roll it. In addition, all allies gain a +2 morale bonus to attack rolls, damage rolls, saves, Combat Maneuver checks, ability checks, and skill checks for a number of rounds equal to the Lord Knight’s mythic prestige class level.

Celestial Understanding (Ex): Lord Knights are the favored of Rozerus and he grants them exceptional wisdom to lead the Empire of Luminairre. At 4th level a Lord Knight gains a +2 bonus to Wisdom.

Bonus Feat: A Lord Knight gains a bonus feat (from either the epic feat list or the normal feat list) at 5th level. The Lord Knight must meet all the requirements for a feat as normal.
